What would it be like for you to have a money management system that worked with you? One that adapted to the seasons of life you’re in, that supported your values and goals, and that you could fall back on at all times?
That is what the Bottom Line Method does. It provides you a system for managing your money. It gives clarity so that you can take action. It provides structure but allows for flexibility. It gives you a framework for making decisions. It supports you. Because money touches every aspect of our lives, having a money management system to fall back on to support your values and your goals ensures you utilize your resources in a meaningful way.
So often when something is stressful our tendency is to avoid. When we bury our head in the sand around our finances, we perpetuate the idea that money is challenging or that we’re not capable of managing it. Yet, we work 1/3 of our lives to earn money. Spending a tiny fraction of that amount of time gaining clarity around your money will give you a huge sense of relief.
The best part of doing this work in a group: finding out you are not alone. This will be an immersive, supportive, group environment, designed to give you the tools and confidence to continue to handle your money in the future.
Through this eight-week program, you will learn a new system to manage your money - the Bottom Line Method. Appreciating that our income is often finite, we use it as a boundary. If we spend within the boundary of our income, we can make decisions that bring us more joy, fulfillment, and financial wellness. Because debt is spending outside of that boundary, a fundamental tenant of the Bottom Line philosophy is to live debt-free. During the six weeks, if you have debt, we’ll work to create a plan to eliminate it once and for all. Through the Bottom Line method, you will gain clarity into how to assess financial decisions - ones like saving, investing, and retiring - but also the day to day ones, such as deciding whether you want to use your money for X or Y or whether it will interfere with your values and goals.
What we’ll cover:
Week 1 – What do I value? What are my goals? What is financial wellness? Perform a “Look back”
Week 2 – Income & boundaries - Learning to use income as a boundary
Week 3 – Expenses - determining what they actually are
Week 4 – Creating your Bottom Line Budget and creating security
Week 5 – Debts - how do they affect my BLB and creating a plan to pay off any that exist
Week 6 – Tying it all together & additional systems to support your Bottom Line
